2014: A Photo a Day
Jan. 6: Remembering a snow day in 2010
This candle was made by one of my best friends in early 2010 when we were snowed in together for a couple of days. We had so much fun, drinking, playing board games and being crafty. Until this weekend, this was the last time I was snowed in at home for an extended period of time.

Jan. 5: A snow day
The view from my bedroom window of a bush in the back yard, about half-way through the snow storm.

2014: A Photo a Day
Jan. 3: Good morning.
Most nights, Yuki sleeps right next to me so she's often the first thing I see every morning. My baby.

2014: A Photo a Day
Jan. 2: Working with flowers
On a day that brought the first major snowstorm of the year, I spent the day at work organizing the flower section. My first choice for the picture of the day was of the snow but that seemed too easy. While at work this afternoon, I realized the irony of my task for the day.

2014: A Photo a Day
Jan. 1, 2014: Inspiration.
Watching a TED Talk on my notebook.
After watching this TED Talk (http://www.ted.com/talks/cesar_kuriyama_one_second_every_day.html),
I've been inspired to record my life in one photo a day. I've chosen photos over video simply because it will be easier for me since my current phone does not record video. Maybe when I can afford a new phone that has the video capability, I'll do it as well. But until that time, still photo it is. At the end of the year, I think it will be
interesting to see what I remember about each photo and each day. I'm not going to set any requirements or
restrictions on what the photo is, except that I will try to keep them from my
point of view, meaning no pictures of me. Let's see how this goes!
